My Philosophy
As a homebirth midwife, I believe in the natural unfolding process of labor. I support families in creating a safe and empowering environment for childbirth. I believe that God created this process and is in control of how it unfolds. One of the body's abilities is to create and give birth to new life. I am honored to be a vessel chosen to assist in this process.

Meet The Midwife
Sherrica Blackmon is deeply rooted in homebirth midwifery. She started as a doula at a young age and walks in the footsteps of her great great grandmother "Grand Midwife Virginia Tipton". She brings over 5 years of experience and over 500 births attended in the hospital and homebirth setting combined.

Prenatal Care Only
For those who prefer not to birth at home, but would like to receive more personal, individualized prenatal care or in complements to care with another provider.
These in-home visits will allow you to unwind, connect, and receive care from the comforts of your home. It includes monitoring your health and the baby's, listening to your baby's heartbeat, emotional support, individualized education, and validation for the decisions you make regarding your care.
Complete Midwifery Care
For those seeking a personal, individualized, and connected midwifery experience from pregnancy through postpartum, within the comforts of your home. This care includes personalized prenatal visits, home birth, and comprehensive postpartum care. From start to new parenthood or adding a new family member, the midwife is with you the entire journey.
Each visit in pregnancy allows a relationship to be built wholly and authentically. From consult to final postpartum visit, your care is safe here.
Postpartum Care Only
For those seeking more intimate and personal postpartum care. You may have birthed in the hospital, birth center, or homebirth and this care provided seeks to promote wellness and healing for you, your baby, and your family.
In-home visits that help you to continue bond with your baby, settle in to the new person you're becoming, and physically recover from one of the most life-changing journey you traveled. Postpartum is the season you will walk in the longest so handle it with care.
